Clermont County Commissioner, Bob Proud (R)

The 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, did more than just "legalize" abortion on demand; they prohibited virtually any federal, state or local laws from protecting pre-born children from death by abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

    First Baptist Church of Glen Este(currently), First Baptist of Amelia(44 years), A Caring Place (Pregnancy Center), Coalition For A Drug-free Clermont County, "Whole In My Heart" military support group, Batavia Rotary, Union Twp. Kiwanis, for the rest please see attached: Bob Proud is in his fifth term as a Clermont County Commissioner. During 2008, Mr. Proud serves as president of the Board. Mr. Proud is chairman of the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC), a local arm of the Appalachian Regional Development Commission (ARC). Commissioner Proud is chairman of Reasoned and Equitable Community and Local Alternatives to Incarceration of Minors (RECLAIM Ohio-Department of Youth Services), and was appointed by the Governor of Ohio to serve on the Governor's Council for Juvenile Justice. Commissioner Proud serves on the National Association of Counties (NACo) Justice and Public Safety Steering Committee; as a member of this committee he serves on the methamphetamine action group, he also serves as vice chair of the NACo Juvenile Justice subcommittee. Commissioner Proud is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO). Commissioner Proud also serves on the Clermont County DUI Court Advisory Board. Bob is active in numerous local, state, and national committees; he serves as chairman of the Courts and Corrections Committee (County Commissioners Association of Ohio), and the Live Oaks/ Great Oaks Business and Industry Partnership Council. Commissioner Proud serves on the Coalition for a Drug Free Clermont County; he also speaks to middle and high school students on the role of county commissioners and local government. Bob is involved with the Amelia High School Alumni Association. He is a graduate of Cumberland College, Kentucky. Bob began his career in public service by working for Clermont Senior Services; he is a lifelong resident of Clermont County.
